Some pictures I've had for a while, each one has a little story.

Happy dogs are the nicest things to watch. I can't get over the way everything seems so fresh and new to them, even if they're about ten years old. They do everything with such zeal and nothing is going to stop them when they set their minds to fetching that stick. Their leaping and bounding is a treat to watch. I did so the other day when I was at the park with my friends. Watching the doggies go about their happy business brought a smile to my face.

There are many carousels in Paris and although I wasn't at this one, I was at one much nearer the centre of the city. I couldn't find a picture of it anywhere online, but believe me, it was magical. But then again, they're all magical. I'd really love to buy one when I'm older. As well as how much I laugh when I'm on them, I love their design. It's exquisite, even if it is a tad gawdy at times. They seem to draw me to them, especially at night.

This is one of those beaches I seem to have spent my entire life on. It's about a two hour drive from my home and as cheesy and silly as it sounds, I think I'm at my happiest there. They aren't pictured here, but this beach has those kind of sand dunes that one can explore for hours and hours. When I was a child, I'd leave my parents at the beach around midday and return at about five after hours and hours of picking wild flowers, tumbling down doons and peering into rabbit holes. I'll always remember the scratchy feeling of the marram grass on my ankles. My grandaunt and uncle used to have a caravan near the beach. It was so quaint, full of little candles and a mosaic mirror that I was fascinated by. Some of my happiest times were spent there. I haven't been there for two years because my parents are really busy but as soon as I get a new car I'll drive and drive until Im there and stay as long as I can. I'll have a picnic too.

Aren't these whimsical? There's something oddly wonderful about iced cupcakes dangling from one's lobes, isn't there? They look tantalising and delicious. I wish to purchase them, but I can't find the link again. It seems i'll remain cupcake jewellery-less,

Could you think of a cuter place to live? If I lived there, I'd have lots of window boxes and potted plants out the front that I'd water every morning. It's so homely and warm looking. I think the reason I like this image so much is that my Grandad was a carpenter his entire life. In the beginning, he made these caravans for a living. Eventually he became a ship's carepenter and travelled around St John Newfoundland and the Amazon. I never got the opportunity to meet him, but I hear he was a fascinating man.

This is my other family holiday destination. It's on the West coast of Ireland, actually it's directly across the bay from the first place I wrote about. On a clear day, one can make out the golden slope of beach across the bay. This village was much more rural when we first arrived than what it is now. It's located in Ireland's Gaeltacht (Native Irish speaking) area and is dotted with tiny coves. It's beautiful, so wild. It's one of those places where one could wear their pajamas to the local shop and no one would even bat an eyelid.

wellies.jpg

Wellies! Splashing in puddles is one of my very favourtie things to do. Especially if it's still heavily raining and I'm wearing a raincoat. Okay, I haven't worn a proper, calf-length rain coat since I was about eight years old but I remember how good it felt. Sometimes if I'm walking home from town and I'm moderately uncomfortable in what I'm wearing, I jump into a massive puddle and splash as much as I can. It gives me an excuse to change my clothes when I get home and act silly for a few moments. I love children's wellies, the ones with cats or dolls on them. My current pair are plain navy, for festival living. Next summer I'm either going to buy a really nice flowery pair or decorate my own.

Delicious, colourful and bad for one's health. What could be more fun? I can't stand it if lollies aren't coloured, they just look wrong. I think they're the most fun sweets to eat. They last for ages and they fill the entire mouth and lips with their flavour. I don't like how they've become a sexual symbol, it seems nasty. They used to be so pure and cute. One of the greatest signs of affection I can show someone is sharing a lolly with them. I can almost hear you saying 'Yuck!' but I only share them with those closest to me and they don't have any catching diseases of infections. Sometimes I get into a bit of a weird mood and buy them for those close to me. Those who haven't recieved them before are usually puzzled, but it's all in good will. There's nothing symbolic about it.

Unfortunately, I've never actually been to a snowy beach. The first time I even saw one was in 'Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind'. I think it actually took my breath away. It doesn't happen often in Ireland because our snowfall is never dense enough. I'd love to visit one though, I'd wrap up in my scarf, mittens and coat but bring my bucket and shovel with me too :) I could build snowy sand castles.  Getting married on one would be so romantic, wouldn't it?

can.jpg

My Dad has had green fingers as long as I can remember. Our back garden used to be so colourful and vibrant but nowadays he's let it go a bit. He's getting older so I suppose he wants to relax in his spare time. I always loved his big green watering can he used to use. When he'd ask me to fill it from the tap and bring it to him I'd have to lift it with both arms and all my strength. Inevitably, half it's contents would spill all over the kitchen floor but he didn't mind too much. I'd stand near him and watch the little spurts of water flow out and quench the little plants' thirst :) A couple of months ago, I saw a pink ornamental one in a shop in the city. I didn't have enough money for it but I raved about it so much that my ex boyfriend drove there on his lunch from school and bought it for me when I was sick. It was very thoughtful of him. It's up on my window sill now and I keep dried flowers in it. It's one of my most prized possesions.

I once had a dream that I got married in quite a casual wedding dress. It was cream lace and came to my knees. I had paired it with white converse and a cream alice band. I had only a couple of daisies as a bouquet, but I really liked it. I was always intruiged by the short dress in the video for 'November Rain' too. I don't think I'd ever really get married in one because my family are quite traditional Catholics and I do quite like long dresses too. What I might do is have it long for the chuch and dinner, then have maybe a knee length gown for the reception. I'd have little Alice In Wonderland style shoes for it, so it wouldn't look too racey. I'm definitely having a messy looing boquet too, they're so much prettier. I know, I know, I'm nineteen and nowhere near getting married. I like to imagine it though.

van.jpg

Weeee! Hippy vans! They're brilliant! I want one so badly. I'd do ridiculously embarassing things to get one. Each one looks like it has a thousand stories. If I had one, I'd convert it so I could have a pull out bed in the back. Then I'd spend the summer times travelling around to different beaches :D I still see lots of them around here but very few are in good nick and those are very expensive. Ah, I don't care, I'm definitely getting one. Then I can play The Byrds at really loud volume and wear enormours pink sunglasses.

I'm sure you know by now how much I love these. I couldn't make a page of pictures without putting one in somewhere. I think this one looks particularly tasty. If I could just pick it out of the picture, I'd lick off all the icing and then eat the rest with tea. Mmmm. I definitely want a massive three tiered platter of these instead of a wedding cake. I'll get my Mom to make them, since hers are the best!

iris.jpg

I like a lot of different kinds of flowers; daisies, tulips, pansies, fuschia etc but I think there's something really romantic about Irises. A dream of mine is to recieve a massive bunch of them. Unfortunately, they're expensive and most men think girls want roses. Also, I really don't like Valentine's day so I can't see myself getting a bunch any time soon. It would be perfect if they were purple. I know I'm expecting a lot from a man there, but if things can't be perfect in my dreams then where can they be?

Did they bore you to tears? I hope not, but I know they probably did. At least I put them out there :)
